Amirante Islands

The Amirante Islands are made up by the Étoile, D’Arros, Marie Louise, Desnoeufs, Boudeuse, African Banks, Rémire Reef, St. Joseph’s Atoll, and Poivre Atoll. Despite being discovered in 1503, they are largely unpopulated and are one of the most desirable fishing destinations for both fly fishing for Indo-Pacific permit and offshore fishing.

The atolls have shallow lagoons surrounded by reef and flats that are exposed on certain tides. The sheer drop-offs, which step from 60 to 12 000 metres in a matter of kilometres, has rich currents and an extremely healthy marine ecosystem with one of the best blue water fishing areas in the Seychelles.

Fly Fishing The amirante islands

The Amirante Islands is without doubt the best destination in the Indian Ocean for targeting Indo-Pacific permit on fly. Although anglers focus on permit the flats are pristine and alive with a variety of sought after species like bonefish, bluefin trevally and the occasional giant trevally. The area offers equally thrilling fishing for species like sailfish, wahoo, dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna and even marlin.

As there are no lodges on the islands which hold the most amount of fish, the only way to access the astounding fishing found in the Amirantes is onboard a yacht. All our trips are accompanied by polled skiffs and our professional team of international guides. Motor Yacht Quo Vadis

Quo Vadis is an exceptional 750 luxury expedition catamaran that is well equipped for exploring the most remote Outer Atolls of the Seychelles. Designed with a high bridge and deck, she ensures quiet and smooth voyages across the Indian Ocean. Her shallow draft allows passage to areas that most vessels of this size can’t access. This beautiful catamaran boasts an easy-flowing and spacious saloon with a well-appointed bar and breakfast counter. The aft deck is equally as spacious with a large 10 seater dining table, two daybeds, bench seating, cocktail tables and a barbeque. All fly fishing trips are accompanied by 2 experienced fly fishing guides and 2 purpose built flats skiffs that are equipped with polling platforms and poles. All meals, snacks, drinks and a selection of alcoholic beverages are included. Laundry is complimentary and is done on a daily basis. Fly fishing is on a shared skiff and guide basis but more skiffs and guides as well as a fleet of additional boats can be added on request.

Pelican is a luxury 63ft sailing catamaran that is equipped for sailing to the most remote Outer Atolls of the Seychelles. Featuring personal touches, intuitive detailing and intelligent space design that sets this gorgeous vessel apart from the rest of the sailing catamarans in the Seychelles. All four double-cabins, which can accommodate up to eight guests, are spacious, elegant, have en-suite bathrooms and are fully air-conditioned for every kind of easement.
