GREAT WEATHER, STUNNING FISHING. JUST PERFECT FISHING CONDITIONS

This week ticked all the boxes with beautiful weather and stunning fish caught. Initially, the week started off slow on the fishing front but ended with a bang. Lots of giant trevallies were caught, and lots of stories about the one that got away.

Starting with Thomas, Bart, Steve, Mark, and Mark all caught their first GTs. Of those firsts were two very notable fish, caught by both Mark’s. Mark caught one of 101 cm and Mark with the fish of the week stretching a massive 115 cm. Mark kept his fishing streak up after his big giant trevally and finished the week off strong with a Flats Slam, landing giant trevally, permit, and bonefish on the last day.

Alexi and David, who are no strangers to St Francois, also managed to land two GTs each. The milkfish have returned with calmer conditions on the other side of the spectrum and a slightly less aggressive species. After countless battles and lost fish, Chantal finally landed milk this week, measuring a lovely 78 cm. Adding to their list of firsts, Steve, Bart, and Sonja all managed to land their first milkfish.
Going with the smaller species, Thomas and Chuck both managed to land their first moustache triggerfish, while Anthony joined the elite group of anglers who have caught permit, ticking it off his list. Speaking about permit, David managed to land and break his personal best permit record with a great fish measuring 62 cm. This week was slightly quieter on the bluewater side of things, with Steven, Elizabeth, Maya, Ed, and Frederique all catching their first wahoo, while Steven, Elizabeth, and Ed all caught their first sailfish on fly.
